Is it because we only have the best on the show? Is it because it is lucky being on the show? I don't know but three of the Irish Poker Radio team have now satellited into the IPC with Liz Mullally still to find the form, although she aims to hit big in the Eglintons Super satellite on Thursday evening.
Over the course of the last 6 weeks Pokerstars.com and the Irish Poker Championship team have been running satellites online and around the country, to build on the success of previous years.
Dara O'Kearney finished 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd twice and then in one night took 2 IPC packages from the $8.88 and $11 rebuys on stars. I was the first to take down the $8.88 rebuy after spending little more than $40. Bringing up the rear guard is Manus Burke, Poker Room Manager in the Eglinton and regular co-presenter on Irish Poker Radio takes down two live tickets back to back.
So, we all have it in us to take a satellite and turn up on the big day, which is fast upon us.
This week PokerStars.com confirmed Irish Poker Radio's attendance at the Pokerstars.com Irish Poker Championship providing 3 live shows, on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday available shortly before the action kicks off each day.
Our Thursday night show comes from the players party in the Raddisson Blu. Me and Dara will be talking to the Party goers getting there reaction to the IPC and the new sponsor. Meanwhile, we will keep you updated about Liz's efforts in the Eglinton Super Satellite with a staggering 21 IPC Seats guaranteed. Liz Mullally, no stranger to this format has a very good chance to take one down. (Luck of Irish Poker Radio will be rubbing furiously)
On Saturday we have a special interview with JP Kelly recently signed on as a PokerStars pro we will be getting the lowdown form this UK Based Pro.
Sunday is the turn of Liz Mullally to Co-host. PokerStars Pro Jude Ainsworth will be joining us to talk about his hometowns largest tournament.
