After a change in venue from the Side Pot club they could extend the registrations from a tight 70 to nearly crack the very comfortable 100 mark.
With 37 players returning for day 2, heading to the final table had Frankin Carbin as the short stack. A few double up later he was second in Chips after Paul Corrway made a easy to see call with AK v KK on an ace high board. With a 4 bet shove from the KK on the flop was not enough to deter Paul who raked in the 1 Million chip pot.
Heads up was a 1 hour affair with some business being done before they sat down. But with a sizable chunk of money still to play for and the coveted trophy, it was Frankie who became very dominant with a string of big hands.
Frankie Carbin was crowned the Champion after finishing second in the same event jsut two yearws ago. 'It feels good to cross the line' said Frankie whilst being cheered on by in all counts was a very lively rail.
