The long awaited Brucepoker.com 100's poker festival finally kicked off last night with 96 entries towards this massive gaurentee off €50,000.

These tournaments hav been very sucessful in the UK, with an event in Dusk til Dawn attractting over 2000 entries. This event started off on course with large attendencies expected for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  This festival has many side events and also the Irish Omaha Tour playing thier main event on Saturday. 

The tournament itself started off quite subdued - for the first 5 mins then the reentries started with about 20% of the field opting for a re-entry within the first 4 levels. After the break, and the end of the reentry period things moved fast and before the next break we where down to about 60% of the field. It took 4 hands after the second break to complee day 1a.

There was one giant stack, who took out three players with Ace king, leaving our tournamnet directors borther Chris O'Hara on 124,000 chips.  A great stack for Friday day 2 with the average for day 1a only 33,000.  

During the change of blinds, the whole venue was filled with hip hop music which sent the staff and players into a dancing frenzy. It brought a real sense of fun to the event.
